Get Pro back on a new iPhone

  1. Sign in to the App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy Pro.
  2. Open PicToss and go to Settings.
  3. Tap Restore purchases.

You can also restore from the Pro screen. If PicToss says there's nothing to restore, check that you're signed in with the same Apple ID.

How deleting works

PicToss never deletes a photo you haven't confirmed. Every photo goes through three stages:

  • Marked: you swiped left or used quick trash. The photo sits in PicToss's trash and you can undo.
  • In Recently Deleted: you tapped Empty trash and confirmed the iOS prompt. iOS keeps the photo for about 30 days, and you can still recover it in the Photos app.
  • Actually freed: the photo has left Recently Deleted and the space is back.

If you use iCloud Photos, emptying the trash removes the photos from every device signed in to your Apple ID.

Free up space right now

To get the space back without waiting 30 days:

  1. Open the Photos app.
  2. Find Recently Deleted under Utilities (in Albums on iOS 16 and 17, in Collections on iOS 18 and later).
  3. Unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
  4. Tap Select, then Delete All.

This can't be undone.

Cancel a subscription

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Choose PicToss and tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also get there from PicToss: open Settings in the app and tap Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current year ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription.

Full or limited photo access

PicToss works with both. With full access it checks your whole library. With limited access it sees only the photos you picked, so it can only find duplicates among those.

To change it, open the Settings app, find PicToss (on iOS 18 and later it's under Apps), tap Photos and choose the access you want.
